Bern’s Steak House Takes Over Reverence at Epicurean Atlanta

“A Rare & Well-Done Experience” brings Tampa’s legendary steakhouse to Midtown Atlanta for one night only, Oct. 7

 

ATLANTA, Ga. (Sept. 8, 2025) – Reverence, the signature restaurant at Midtown’s Epicurean Atlanta hotel, will host a once-in-a-lifetime dining event this fall as Tampa’s world-renowned Bern’s Steak House takes over the kitchen for a single evening. Bern’s Steak House Takeover at Reverence: A Rare & Well-Done Experience will be held Tuesday, Oct. 7, showcasing Bern’s iconic dry-aged steaks, award-winning wine program, and acclaimed dessert offerings in a multi-course menu paired with rare vintages.

 

Recognized by the MICHELIN Guide and celebrated worldwide for its 500,000-bottle wine collection, legendary dry-aging program, and famed Harry Waugh Dessert Room, Bern’s will bring its culinary team to Atlanta for this exclusive event. Following the takeover, Reverence will offer two Bern’s Features on its menu Oct. 8-9, available while supplies last.

The takeover will feature Bern’s acclaimed team guiding guests through the experience:
• David Laxer, Owner/President – sharing the rich history and enduring legacy of Bern’s
• Chad Johnson, Executive Chef – a two-time James Beard semifinalist leading the culinary showcase
• Brad Dixon, Head Sommelier – pairing rare bottles from Bern’s legendary cellar
• Hannah Thomas, Pastry Chef – presenting a Valrhona Chocolate Tart with Bern’s famous macadamia ice cream

 

“Bern’s Steak House has always been about more than a meal; it’s about creating an unforgettable experience around the table,” said Laxer. “Bringing that spirit to Atlanta through our partnership with Epicurean feels like a natural extension of the tradition my parents began. Guests will begin with a Bourbon Praline Welcome Cocktail made with Bern’s Select Weller Antique 107° Bourbon, followed by a seated menu including:
• Imperial Osetra Caviar with lobster and crème fraiche, paired with Billecart-Salmon Brut Reserve Champagne
• Dry-Aged Chateaubriand Carpaccio with French onion gastrique, paired with 1985 Cairanne, Vidal Fleury
• Dry-Aged Colorado Lamb with port wine cream, paired with 1995 Ducru Beaucaillou St. Julien
• Tasting of Aged Strip Steaks with traditional garnishes, paired with 2013 Frias Vineyards Cabernet Bern’s Wine Fest Cuvee Napa
• Valrhona Chocolate Tart with macadamia ice cream, paired with 1970 Quinta Do Noval Porto

 

The Bern’s Steak House Takeover at Reverence: A Rare & Well-Done Experience begins at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 7. Seats are extremely limited and priced at $375 per person, available online.

 

For those unable to attend, Reverence will offer two Bern’s Features Oct. 8–9:
• NY Strip with creamed Swiss chard, salt-baked celeriac, roasted bone marrow, and brûléed onion jus ($84)
• Aged Delmonico with duck-fat pommes Pont Neuf, foraged chanterelle mushrooms, and black garlic demi-glace ($160)
