Friendsgiving, Tree Lighting, Ugly Sweaters and Holiday Dining Return to Epicurean Atlanta This Season

WHAT: Epicurean Atlanta is serving up the holidays with a full slate of food, drinks and festivities this November and December. From a wine-paired Friendsgiving, weeklong Thanksgiving specials and festive cocktails to an epic Christmas tree lighting, Ugly Holiday Sweater Party, and Sparkling Wine Dinner, the Midtown hotel offers plenty of ways for Atlantans and visitors to eat, drink and celebrate the season.
• A Perfectly Paired Friendsgiving – Gather the friends who feel like family for A Perfectly Paired Friendsgiving (Nov. 13, 7-9 p.m.) in the Epicurean Theatre. The festive evening pairs three Thanksgiving-inspired small plates with wine tastings, including Turkey Pot Pie Croquettes, Sweet Potato Gnocchi and Herb-Roasted Pork Tenderloin. Tickets are $65 and available online.
• Thanksgiving Specials at The Office Bar – Celebrate Thanksgiving all week long at The Office Bar, Midtown’s favorite neighborhood hangout. With a casual yet upscale ambiance and four scrumptious specialty menu items, friends and family can kick back in style this holiday. Reservations are not required; seating is first come, first serve. The menu is available online.
• Festive Cocktails at The Office Bar – The Office Bar is getting into the holiday spirit beginning Nov. 23 with a lineup of limited-time festive cocktails, including the Mistletoe & Bubbles ($18), The Night Before ($18) and the Ornamentini ($20). Available through Jan. 1.
• Christmas Tree Lighting at Epicurean Atlanta – Epicurean Atlanta lights up West Peachtree Street with its annual “EPIC” Christmas tree lighting (Dec. 2 at 6 p.m.). The free community celebration features live holiday music by Ethel, complimentary sweet treats, hot cocoa and cider, and plenty of holiday cheer beneath the hotel’s larger-than-life Christmas tree. Guests can keep the celebration going after the lighting at The Office Bar’s Ugly Holiday Sweater Party.
• Ugly Holiday Sweater Party at The Office Bar – The holiday attire gets intentionally questionable at The Office Bar’s annual Ugly Holiday Sweater Party (Dec. 2, 6-9 p.m.), where no sweater is too tacky, kitschy or sparkly. The evening features themed cocktails, live music and a contest to crown the “ugliest of them all.” Admission is complimentary with RSVP, and seating is first-come, first-served.
• Pop, Fizz, Feast: A Sparkling Wine Dinner – Great holiday bubbles don't have to come with a Champagne price tag! At Pop, Fizz, Feast: A Sparkling Wine Dinner (Dec. 3, 7-9 p.m.), discover delicious, affordable alternatives from around the world, including Spanish Cava, German Sekt, French Crémant, Italian Lambrusco, and a few new styles. Kelly Cornett joins sommeliers Juan Fernando Cortes and Adam M. Berlin of Atlanta's Under Pressure Wine for a celebratory evening featuring five sparkling wine tastings paired with five holiday dishes. Tickets are $85 and will be available online.
