Epicurean Atlanta Unveils Plans For Rooftop Restaurant and 1105 West Peachtree's Office Lobby Bar

A Rooftop Garden Bar and Sophisticated Office Lobby Lounge to Offer Unparalleled Amenities for Guests and Midtown Residents

ATLANTA, GA (June 25, 2021) – Epicurean Atlanta, Midtown’s forthcoming food and beverage-focused hotel located within Selig Development’s mixed-use project 1105 West Peachtree, is pleased to reveal plans for its resort- style rooftop restaurant and bar, as well as the neighboring lobby lounge of the development’s office tower.


Epicurean Atlanta is the second location of the Epicurean Hotel brand by Mainsail Lodging & Development in partnership with ownership of the legendary Bern’s Steak House in Tampa, Fl. The hotel occupies one of three towers located at the 1105 West Peachtree property, and is connected to the 31-story office tower and the 64-unit luxury condo tower, 40 West 12th, by the Sky Terrace. Executive Chef Ewart Wardhaugh and the hotel’s General Manager, Marc Bauer, oversee Epicurean Atlanta’s culinary and hospitality programs.


Immersed in Atlanta’s skyline, Aerial Kitchen & Bar will soon be Midtown’s premier outdoor dining destination, joining the property’s signature restaurant, Reverence, and the Epicurean Theatre. Located in the heart of the lush and vibrant garden setting on the 9th level Sky Terrace, the sprawling urban oasis is inspired by the hotel’s namesake Epicurus, and his belief that the garden was a symbol of tranquil pleasure. The bar boasts a casual atmosphere with a blend of modern textures and industrial materials with brick and warm rose copper metal accents, a dimensional tile front bar, sleek concrete countertops, and warm gray and blush colored cushioned outdoor seating. This resort- style sanctuary will offer hotel pool guests, alongside surrounding high-rise residents and office occupants, the opportunity to bask in this open-air destination while enjoying signature cocktails and refreshing seasonal bites that naturally complement the midday sun or evening sunset. Aerial Kitchen & Bar will be open daily with private poolside cabana service available to hotel guests.


When Selig Development envisioned the amenities of the property’s 31-story anchor office tower, it was only natural to tap the Epicurean Atlanta team with the task of curating a vibrant workspace and lounge in the tower’s generous lobby space. Chris Ahrenkiel, Executive Vice President of Selig, said of the office bar, “Our goal for the office tower was to curate a hospitality-infused experience for our tenants with an easily accessible food and beverage program in the lobby, and working alongside the Epicurean team we have accomplished just that. Conveniently situated across from the entrance to the Epicurean Hotel, The Office Bar will offer the ideal reprieve for professionals working and living in this vibrant tech and business district. Inspiration and creativity flow freely during casual meetings, collaborative lunches, or pre-dinner cocktails, creating the ultimate intersection of a boutique hotel experience and Midtown office life. Rich wood tones and luxurious textures are illuminated by custom suspended light fixtures to create a mood of sophistication and warmth. The dynamic setting features 89-seats, grouped in thematic fashion to cater to all tastes with stylish lounge seating and communal tables to ample bar seating. Lunch and dinner will be served seven days a week, with an emphasis on salads, hearty bowls and handhelds coupled with a beverage menu of inventive cocktails, local craft beers and an elevated wine list.


Upon opening later this summer, Epicurean Atlanta will reflect an urban foodie and wine lovers’ paradise, featuring 178 guest rooms including 22 spacious suites and 11,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor adaptable function space for meetings and events. Selig Development, the development arm of Selig Enterprises, was started in 2016 by Scott Selig. Selig Enterprises, a 102-year-old family-owned real estate company led by third generation owner Steve Selig, has assembled an impressive portfolio of properties in some of Atlanta’s most coveted neighborhoods.
