SNAPSHOT OF BUFORD HIGHWAY: SEND NOODS (AND DUMPLINGS)

Take a snapshot look into Atlanta’s Buford Highway, a small yet mighty piece of the city’s culinary narrative. What would be an otherwise prosaic piece of the Atlanta suburbs, this strip mall lined corridor was quickly turned into a haven by immigrants who landed in the busy Atlanta out-skirts, creating some of the region’s best ethnic food while celebrating the city’s growing, highly diverse population. For those looking to fast-track an exploration through Buford Highway and the memorable food experiences you’ll have there, join us for an afternoon with two acclaimed Atlanta chefs, as they share inside scoop about the Highway’s best spots. Led by Snackboxe Bistro’s Thip Athakhanh and Heirloom Market BBQ’s Jiyeon Lee and moderated by We Love BuHi’s own Executive Director, Lily Pabian, we guarantee you will devour their renditions of the Highway’s iconic establishment’s signature dishes, and that you won’t walk away thirsty either. Paired with innovative internationally-inspired cocktails by mixology maven Bob Peters, each dish has a story to tell. We promise you’ll leave this class and head straight for your own journey down Buford HIghway as soon as you can recover from the food coma!

Talent: Jiyeon Lee (Heirloom Market BBQ) & Thip Athakhanh (Snackboxe Bistro), Bob Peters (CocktailClass.com), moderated by Lily Pabian (We Love BuHi)
